Our keynote speaker this year is Dr. Mark Maddix, Dean of the School of Theology & Christian Ministry at Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, California.  He has been developing programs and teaching in online education since 1998.  Dr. Maddix was a pioneer in developing a fully online Master of Arts & Master of Divinity degree which was the first to be accredited by the Association of Theological Schools.  He is the co-author and co-editor of several books including,  Best Practice of Online Education: A Guide for Christian Higher Education, Discovering Discipleship: Dynamics of Christian Education, Practicing Christian Education: An Introduction to Christian Ministry, and forthcoming book, Understanding Faith Formation: Theological, Congregational, and Global Dimensions. He is a frequent contributor to the Christian Education Journal and the Wesleyan Theological Journal. He and his wife Sherri, have two adult children, and their dog, Finley.  Mark enjoys traveling, walks on the beach, playing the drums, and watching Kentucky basketball.
