[ACCESS News] Annual Conference Deadline

I don't want you to miss out on the opportunity to get in to the ACCESS
Conference at a lower rate. If you have not yet had a chance to convince
your powers-that-be of the importance of your attendance at the conference,
you can do so until midnight, Monday, Feb. 1. All the information you need

Reasons why you need to be at this Conference:

1.	The content of the presentations and those presenting are of very
high quality. We have the opportunity to hear from folks working in the
field of distance education and we need to be informed. To quote Radcliffe
(1764) "A well-informed mind is the best security against the contagion of
folly and of vice."

 

2.	The opportunities for networking and fellowship are some of the best
reasons for being at the conference. This is where you can find out who is
doing what at their institutions and organizations. Some of the best "meat"
(tofu for vegetarians) comes from these informal times.

 

3.	The opportunity to meet and talk to Katherine Amos, our keynote
speaker, is worth the trip itself. She has a lot to say about theological
distance education, accreditation, and spiritual formation. If your
institution is going through accreditation, will be going through, or is
contemplating some version of that mind-blowing process, you will want to
talk to Dr. Amos.

 

I always enjoy the time spent together and catching up on what you're doing.
