Dear Access Ed community,
I’m writing to pose a question for the group.

We are looking at options to increase the flexibility of our scheduling options for some of our MA programs. Currently we offer 5 day intensives (~30 contact hours) for our courses. We are looking at options to condense the time on campus for a given course to 3 days and schedule two back to back courses. For example, this would involve a 6 day period for 2 courses with 24 hours/course. The courses would include pre and post work online.

Do you know of any graduate level programs that cover coursework for more than 1 course in a given residency?

We want to understand the positive and negative implications regarding educational quality, student schedules and finances, and degree completion. I appreciate any insight you can provide and/or assistance connecting with other schools that may be using this approach.

Blessings,

Amy E. Donovan
